Our Internship Program:
Interns are an indispensable part of the vital and necessary work performed by OutServe-SLDN.
Our internship program gives the opportunity to gain experience about the LGBT military community and the LGBT movement as a whole. Interns will strengthen job-related skills and network with leaders of the movement and within the government.
Internships may be used to receive college credit. Placement is based on the application and interview. All academic majors are encouraged to apply. Candidates for internships should possess a general knowledge of LGBT issues and ideally the military and veterans communities.
Potential interns must have completed at least one year of college and have abilities in oral and written communication.
We accept full- and part-time interns throughout the year for the spring (typically early January to mid-May), summer (late May to mid-August), and fall (early September to mid-December) semesters in the following program areas.
