Podcast: Fighting for Servicemembers with HIV
Our very first podcast episode is here!
In observance of World AIDS Day this weekend, Kai and Corrine sat down with Peter Perkowski (Legal Director, OutServe-SLDN) and Kevin Deese (Plaintiff, Deese v. Mattis) to talk about the ban on military service for people living with HIV, the cases OutServe-SLDN has brought to fight these policies, and what this all means in the lives of servicemembers and those who want to join the military.
This podcast is a project of the OutServe Knowledge Online program, or OSKO for short, which brings critical information to our members – LGBTQ servicemembers, veterans, Department of Defense civilians, and their families – through the podcast and by creating an online repository of information and resources specific to the LGBTQ military and veteran communities.
If you like our podcast and the work we’re doing through the OSKO program and our legal department, you can support us by making a one-time donation, or becoming a monthly contributor.
