Frugal Life, Happy Wife! – Winter Creations!
Where are all my snow peeps at!? I absolutely LOVE Snow people. I not quite sure I understand why they are more commonly called “Snowmen”, I have yet to see any “proof” of gender on a Snow Person.
Any who, as discussed in my last blog, all the Snow Peeps you will see here were created using nothing, but Dollar Tree Items and they are SNOW ADORABLE! These are so crazy easy, that there is no need for me to walk you through how to create them step by step. Remember me telling you to “think outside of the box” when in Dollar Tree?
Now, I would be lying if I told you I thought up this idea all on my own. I did see the concept somewhere else, but I took it and made it my own, all with affordable things. This snow globe, if you will, cost a total of $6 dollars and change to create! SIX BUCKS! For a lifetime of cuteness on your mantel every year for the Winter season!! Of course, you can put whatever you like in these little fishbowls, but I thought it was very “Thomas Kinkade” of me to put a little scene in them.
Want to light yours up? Go for it with some battery powered LED lights (also found at the Dollar Tree). Just remember to leave the battery pack hanging out of the back so you can turn them off and on. You can always back light it too with a little tea light, just by sitting it behind the glass!
Got bling!? O M Gee! This little creation is perfect for the “posh” decorators out there! SO MUCH BLING!
This one was only around $5 Bucks! EEEKKK! Here is a breakdown for you:
- $1 – Wine Glass
- $1- Candle Plate
- $1 – Rhinestones (they come in a sheet and the back is already sticky)
- $1 – Battery Operated Candle
- $.50 – Snow Person (they come in a pact of 2)
- $.10 – Snow (only a small portion of a whole bag used)
- $.10 – Ribbon (only a small portion of a roll used)
- $.10 – Snow Flake Embellishments (only a few out of a pack)
- $.05 – E6000 (an amazing adhesive you can get at Walmart or any craft store)
This little one is pretty much the same concept as the one before. I find myself singing “Put a little bling bling in your life!”, when I make anything with bling on it! Use any ol’ tune you like! 😊
Need a super cute serving tray for your Holiday gatherings? You can throw this one together in minutes (if you add the snow person to the top, it takes a little longer if you make him from scratch, like I did). Just give yourself time for the glue to dry!
Oh my! I could keep you here all day with Snow Peep creations! These are just a few of my favorites!
I must leave you with one last picture though. Not one I created, obviously, but totally #amazesnowballs!
